Our new Makerspace opened August 1st at Brampton Library’s recently renovated Chinguacousy branch (150 Central Park Drive). The space offers free access to 3D printers, a Roland vinyl cutter, a Silhouette Cameo 3, and a scanner, with more tools and equipment to come. Users can also access high-end desktop computers with 3D modelling, image, video and sound editing, and coding applications.
The Makerspace at Chinguacousy is open to the public during library hours and is currently available for drop-in use on a first-come first-serve basis. Makerspace Orientation sessions are scheduled for September and October (see Program Schedule for dates), or feel free to drop-in to try out some of the equipment with the help of friendly and knowledgeable library staff.
